Safety

<aside> ⚠️ → Never use the machine unless you had prior training! → Never do a free hand cut! Use the fence or the sledge! → Never use the fence and sledge at the same time! → Never get your hands closer than 10 cm to the blade! → Use the push sticks, you can even cut into them if that is the safest option! → Always support the longer side of your workpiece with the fence/sledge! → Let the blade spin up to full speed before making contact with the workpiece! → Abort the cut if the workpiece starts drifting or rotating or lifts from the table! → Do not remove the guard unless you absolutely have to! → Make sure that what you are cutting is free of nails or other metal parts! → Do not leave the machine running unattended! → Never wear gloves using this machine!

Operation

• First carefully review the safety pointers above and watch the training video
• This is probably the most dangerous machine in the workshop, do not take any risks and avoid using it when you are alone
• Blade
  • The blade can be adjusted in angle and height
  • The adjustments have a knob to secure and a larger handle to adjust
  • Adjust the blade to be not higher than one finger above the workpiece (if possible)
  • When adjusting the angle, make sure the blade is free to move
  • Secure both adjustments with the knobs before turning on the machine
• Fence
  • Use the fence for rip cuts, along the grain or along the longer side of your workpiece
  • The fence has four adjustments
  • To loosen the fence, turn the big and small knobs counter clockwise and push the lever left
  • It’s easier to move the fence if you slightly lift the front
  • Make sure the rails are free of dust and debris
  • To fasten the fence, first turn the big knob clockwise and then turn the lever right
  • For fine adjustment, only fasten the small knob with the other two loose. Then use the precision knob to do your adjustment. Then fasten the big knob and the lever.
