LAYER HEIGHT

Quality
Thinner layer heights produce smoother prints with less visible layer lines. However, they also take longer to print. Thicker layer heights produce prints with more visible layer lines, but they are faster to print.
Strength
Layer height has a minimal impact on the overall strength of a 3D-printed part. However, it is important to note that parts with thinner layers are more likely to have layer delamination, a type of failure where the layers of material separate from each other.
Speed
Thinner layer heights produce slower prints, while thicker layer heights produce faster prints. This is because the printer has to move the nozzle more often to deposit thinner layers.
