<aside> 📢 This page contains basic instructions & safety rules for the orbital sander. It is very easy to use and is perfect for surface finishing. If you need to remove larger amounts of material it’s better to use the planer or belt sander instead.

<aside> ⚠️ → Don’t apply too much pressure when sanding! → This will unnecessarily strain the motor and heat the machine and your workpiece. → If the contact area gets too hot, this can destroy the velcro that holds the sand paper! → Always connect the dust extraction or wear a mask! → Always check that there is a pad mounted and what grit it is!

Usage

<aside> 💡 Use the right pad for the job!

→ A low grit (K60, K120) is more aggressive, it removes more material but also leaves deeper scratches

→ A high grit (K240, K400) is more gentle on the surface, it leaves less traces but also removes material very slowly

→ Depending on how smooth the surface already is, start with a low grit and work your way up

The speed setting can also make the sanding more aggressive or gentle
