1. Always work with only one hand touching the hazardous region to minimize the current path;
2. Remove watches or any other jewelry;
3. Always wear appropriate insulating gloves;
4. Always wear safety goggles or a face shield;
5. If you must touch a conducting surface, use the back of your hand as a final test to determine if there is no voltage on it (as opposed to the inside of your hand);
